I took the liberty of changing the color of Rafael/David's name for ease of reading, noted where posts to the Inn fit, and edited out some unrelated chit-chat. I have the full chat if someone wants it for any reason.

Back to Rosario's character sheet

Rosario: Hola ;-)
Kariggi: ah here we are
Rafael: Hey all! I told the GM I will be sporadic as I am at work.
Rosario: And that's about the extent of my Castillian, BTW :-)
Kariggi: Just figured it would give the two of you a chance to talk
Kariggi: real time
Rafael: David will throw some food down for the horses, and then probably head for the house, listening for the sounds of the Inqusitiors approaching
Rosario: I need to catch up anyway :-).
Kariggi: tres bien
Rosario: IC: Rosario nods, as she was wanting to search in the house anyway.
Kariggi: as I understood it Rosario searched the house while David searched the courtyard and stables
Rafael: I figured she went in the house first while David checked the barn. GM, does David need to try the other two Perception rolls as well?
Rosario: I go in through the back, being careful to not leave any more of a trail than I can help.
Kariggi: yes please
Rosario: yes, I'm in the house while he's in the barn.
Rafael: Oh, and his bow is currently strung, but slung.
Kariggi: good
Rafael: Okay, I will roll twice, first for note 15, then 16. Both 3k2...
Note 15 Perception 3k2
Damage RollRolling 3d10.
Results: 3 10 1 for a total of 14.
Note 16 Perception 3k2
Damage RollRolling 3d10.
Results: 1 9 3 for a total of 13.
Rafael: Ooh, I just noticed the first roll had a 10...no need to re0roll, but for fun...
Re-roll
Damage RollRolling 1d10.
Results: 9 for a total of 9.
Rosario: Perception check from the section on the parlor
Rosario needs to go check how many dice to roll ;-).
Kariggi: One of the glasses in the parlor has a stain from lipstick, the other two do not
Rafael: Okay, a 22 for 15, anda 12 for 16...
Rosario: Duh, is it straight Wits? (too used to leaning on the GM mutter grumble ;-)
Kariggi: yes unless you have keen senses
Rosario: I hadn't rolled yet, was that the GM or David who rolled?
Rafael: David rolling...
Rosario wits roll
Damage RollRolling 2d10.
Results: 2 8 for a total of 10.
Rosario: So I guess I don't notice the lipstick ;-)
Rafael: Lipstick? Note the color. If it is too dark to make out, stash the glass in my pouch to examine in light later.
Rosario: Oh, wait, TN 10, yes I do.
Rosario wits roll 2, for bedchamber
Damage RollRolling 2d10.
Results: 3 8 for a total of 11.
Kariggi: Sorry I got confused who was rolling
Kariggi: Glass parlor = Rosario "Red, very red"
Rafael: Okay, from now on, when rolling, we will list the PC's name. Such as "David rolls"
Kariggi: Cool I knew we'd figure this out
Kariggi: David your later roll shows tracks of a wagon being pulled out into the courtyard and something heavy being moved into it from the workshop
Rosario: Has David joined Rosario in the house?
Kariggi: You prob both meet following tracks in/out of workroom
Rafael: Can the tracks of the wagon be traced outside, through the gate and on after that?
Rosario: OK, since he commented on the lipstick I wasn't sure :-).
Rosario: Do the drag marks look like a body (hopefully not dead!) or something else?
Rafael: Wait! I guess it will be time for a Tracking Roll to see if we can follow the tracks. I think we both have the skill...
Kariggi: By the way while there's no Ussuran sorcerer to tell you the horses thank you
Rosario: Recap: Something was dragged from the bedroom, outside, and into a wagon. Correct?
Kariggi: for the food
Rafael: David knew the horses thanked him by their reaction!
Kariggi: workroom to outside to wagon
Rafael: No, something came from the workshop and was put into the wagon.
Kariggi: yes
Rosario: Right, got it.
Rafael: Okay, time for tracking. David will roll 4k2, since he has those Keen Senses
Rosario: BTW, we should be listening for approaching horses...
Kariggi: No it does not look like a body, it is more rounded at the base
David Rolls Tracking 4k2
Damage RollRolling 4d10.
Results: 1 7 5 3 for a total of 16.
Kariggi: cruel dice roller
Rafael: No kidding...David gets a 12. What is his target? I have one DD left.
Kariggi: The tracks lead out the courtyard head north off the road and disapear, but you are sure they were made within the last two days, maybe last night
Rafael: David says, "With the rains, the wagon tracks may not lead us far. We can try to follow them or follow the Inquisitors."
Kariggi: who are now approaching
Kariggi: you have enough time to slip out if you wish, or...
Rosario: IC: I think it might not be a bad idea to see if we can hear what the Inquisitors have to say. I am wondering, why are they coming back here?
Kariggi: hiding someplace?
Rafael: I will hide on the roof of the barn. Stealth Roll?
Kariggi: You slip up onto the roof ...no you have time
Kariggi: uh Stable
Rosario: I'd like to hide somewhere where I can hear them if they go inside. Images of Zorro lurking under a window ;-).
Rafael: Okay, no need for the stealth roll...time to wait...and back out to the ops room.
Kariggi: the workroom had a number of places one might conceal oneself, or in the wardrobe in the bedroom, under the bed...outside a back window
Rosario: Outside a window, less chance of being cornered by far to many Henchmen-or-higher-level Knight Inquisitors :-)
Kariggi: windows in the back will allow you to hear into kitchen and bedroom.
Kariggi: A side window might let you hear into the parlor
Kariggi: there is no window to the workroom
Kariggi: you can move about if outside though
Rosario: I'll start on the side if I can stay out of site, since I assume they'll go in the front and probably concentrate on the work room.
Kariggi: I'd like a stealth roll or the closest thing you have their not looking now but should they I'd like to know how well hidden you are
Rosario: Stealth uses Finesse?
Kariggi: in this case you may use either finesse or wits
Rosario roll, 5k3
Damage RollRolling 5d10.
Results: 5 3 8 1 10 for a total of 27.
Kariggi: ooh nice and the reroll
Rosario adds to the 23...
Damage RollRolling 1d10.
Results: 7 for a total of 7.
Rosario: 30, that's more like it :-)
Kariggi: ooo best roll I've seen this generate in a while
Kariggi: well hid woman
Rosario: My GM hubby regularly grouses about my luck with the dice. I've gotten into the 70's on 7k4...
Kariggi: Alright I'm gonna go slow cause I don't want david to miss anything
Rosario: [bows graciously ] :-)
Kariggi: I'll post from here I need to grab lunch anyway, I mostly wanted the two of you to have a one on one since your together

Here is where the post to the Inn, [Kariggi (14:55:02/08-21-2002)] fits.

Rosario: Do you want to cover any banter our two characters might have had on the ride out here or anything like that?
Rafael: Probably not much banter as we were riding hard, and trying not to be noticed in any way. But when we arrived at Murro's...
Rafael: David would have said, "You are indeed quite a rider, senroita!"
Kariggi: yes you did not even need a drama dice senorita
Rafael: I just saw it. David is Rash. Are the three men in the courtyard standing around? And are the horses actually inside the stable?
Rafael: Because if so, David might sneak down and check their saddlebags.
Kariggi: Your rash huh
MorganGW waits on posting anything for Rosario, since David's probably checking while she's listening.
Kariggi: yes two knights in house two just outside courtyard, two old men and leader in middle of courtyard
Rosario is glad to hear they don't already have Sr. Murro, and now assumes it was he who dragged something
out and fled with it.
Kariggi: horses not technically inside stable but under the stable roof where the
Rafael: Yes, Rash. I bought the Hubris, since it gets him into trouble.
Rosario OOC: Oy. ;-)
Kariggi: temperary hitching post are, it would be a very rash move
Kariggi: well get into trouble then
Rafael: Okay...time to be rash... will actually add a post, and roll there for stealth.
Rosario: OOC: Oy. :-) :-)
Rosario: BTW, this logs as HTML, so I can post it for reference.
Kariggi: cool if you guys need anything else post it and I'll read
Rosario: I'll post the link.
Rosario: I'm mainly going to be listening, so unless you do something I'll notice I may not post until after the Gm responds to your rashness ;-)
Rafael: Well, I may get spotted...just rolled 6k3, and wound up with an 18!
Rosario: Hm, not great.
Rosario: How many DD do you have left?
Rosario _really_ doesn't want to have to fight 4 Knight Inquisitors ;-)
Rafael: Only 1 DD left. But those Knights are brutes. You can watse them. The two fat old guys will be cake...
Rafael: It is the leader I worry about. But if they spot me, I will run and when they chase me, you can steal some of their stuff I hope.
Rosario: Um, do you have Church of the Prophets?
Rosario: Defenders of the Faith are Brutes, Knight Inquisitors are Henchmen or Villains, and I checked, he _does_ mean Knights, not Defenders :-).
Rafael: Oh, my mistake. All my books are at home. Well, if they spot David, he will lead them a merry chase, and you can take your time.
Rosario: Thanks ;-)
Rafael: He is a gentleman, after all!
Rosario: When he said "Knight Defenders" I specifically asked for the clarification. Glad I did...I'd hate to hae underestimated them!
Rosario: :-)
Rafael: By the way, what would she have replied when he told her she was indeed quite the rider?
Rosario: "Thank you, señor. My patrón likes to make sure his charges are well-rounded in their abilities." Said with a grin ;-).
Rafael: "And might one enquire as to whom your patron is?" David asks earnestly.
Rosario: "Don Alejandro Vasquez de Soldano," she replies.
Rosario: (He's in "Los Vagos".)
Rafael: OOC: I know the name. IC: "My compliments to him. His judgment is most discerning."
Rosario nods in acknowledgement.
Rosario: OOC: He was so convenient, since I'd already decided to be from Soldano.
Rafael: "And senorita, may I also ask the name of your charge? The woman you are protecting. Your dona?"
Rosario: Rosario hesitates. OOC: Did David give any indication of recognizing Don Alejandro's name? I know it would be hard to tell under the circumstances.
Rosario rolls on her Sincerity, in case that'll make a difference ;-), 4k3
Damage RollRolling 4d10.
Results: 10 8 3 2 for a total of 23.
and the re-roll
Damage RollRolling 1d10.
Results: 9 for a total of 9.
Rosario thinks the dice like her today, and hopes they don't desert her later in a more critical situation!
Rafael: Sorry for the delay. David probbaly does not recognize the name...let me roll basic Wits.
David's Wits:
Damage RollRolling 2d10.
Results: 4 3 for a total of 7.
Rosario: No prob on delays, the coputer's in the kitchen so I can keep an eye on the screen while doing other things.
Rafael: Nah, he does not know the name. And it is obvious.
Rosario: I don't think the Don's particularly well known outside thE Soldano province.
Rosario: "Doña Dionna? Don Alejandro asked me to accompany her on her visit to Sr. Murro. And may I ask, who is your teacher? You seem quite devoted to him."
Rafael: "His name is Ian MacGregor. I doubt you have heard of him. He taught me to shoot."
Rafael: OOC: Okay, this is a fabircation, so I will try to roll something.
Rafael: Straight Panache, since I don't think Oratory would work in the circumstances.
David's Lie
Damage RollRolling 2d10.
Results: 2 5 for a total of 7.
Rafael: Make a Wits roll against my whopping 7...
Rosario: Ouch ;-)
Rosario, wits 2
Damage RollRolling 2d10.
Results: 2 9 for a total of 11.
Rafael: Let's say she thinks he is not being completely truthful
Rosario: Yeah, I got that impression. ;-)
Rosario: But the name isn't familiar to her, either. (or to me, OOC)
Rafael: I will have to step off for a bit now...I hope the GM comes back before I go home...
Rosario: OK, we'll see what happens when you try to sneak past those churchmen...
Rosario: And I'll post the log for this chat, for reference.
Rosario: Bye! :-)
