Well, I promised some explainations, and this is the only way, with this many writers, I could think to go about it. I won't tell you everything, but some of my pawns' motives I can make clear. The Sparky currently DJing and otherwise pestering the Controller is Sparky version 0.45. He is currently housed in a tent in a field SOMEWHERE. The only communication is a packet signal being broadcast. Anyone with a 80 meter ham radio can receive it. However, they will get only the reports...Sparky was set off to do damage. He doesn't need further orders to do that. ;) The Sparky in the Volvo is Sparky version 0.9 Speaking of the Volvo, it has had some...modifications done to it, which we will see later. The alarm/cloaking system being one. Will and Robot I have explained already as best I can. I intend to introduce Vincent soon. The reasoning being, he will be part of Knytt's crew. As he is telepathic and also a robot able to send radio signals (well, if he wasn't able to in _Black Hole_, he can now), he can be a link to the Robot and Will without having them directly on the link. A firewall if you will. This will ensure there are no slip ups on Knytt's part. And, it's FUN. :) As for KnightShift, he is a surprise. BUT, he is not Knytt from the past, OR the present. And he IS NOT linked to the rest of us. So, he isn't eavesdropping on us. :) As for his offer to the Controller, it is valid, no treachery involved. (hope I didn't overstep my bounds there, Though the Controller from the Future could be simply placating him to get him to go away. After all, the Controller^2 does have knowledge of the future. He probably already knew the image was a hologram.) KnightShift will ensure that the Controller wins. Unless the Controller refuses. Then KnightShift will make the offer to Drisonel. Or he may make the offer to Drisonel anyway. Play both sides off each other. If neither accept, he will be a wild card, similar to Jadis. KnightShift's one goal is to get Knytt, however possible. Why? I have no idea. Yeah, RIGHT... Ok, that's the immediate future, so you can know where I am going. I think those are MY main strange bits on the table. Hope, this puts them in better perspective. Mike, Will, Robot, Sparky 0.45/0.9, Vincent, KnightShift and LIS crew... Oh yeah, the LIS crew...doubt I will do anything with them other than the asides. Well, that's it for now. Going to take a break for the eve and rewatch _Black Hole_. See ya tomorrow. =========================== From: gamer@host.yab.com Date: Thu, 22 May 1997 13:29:51 -0700 (MST) Subject: Re: AAE - Xzerrion takes a trip On Wed, 21 May 1997, Paul Campbell wrote: > The man pulls out a small stilletto, it's blade darkened by poison. >`Come with me. Once at the bottom, it is nearly pitch black, to human sight anyways. But Xzerrion's elvish sight can see a figure further in the room who was laying on a bench or cot or something, but sat bolt upright as soon as the pair came down the stairs. Now the figure lifts a shortbow and aims it at Xzerrion and his guide. "Who's there? Answer right or you _will_ die." The figure says slowly and carefully with an accent not native to this kingdom. "It's Onan. I have brought with me someone I think you should talk to Czaris. He wants to join the rebellion." Onan says, trying to hide the slurring of his voice adn failing. "You've been drinking again you sot. How do I know he's safe?" The voice continues, moving quickly and silently through the dark to keep anyone from locating him by voice alone. "I-I just... I c-can't explain it. I just have a feeling he is telling the truth." Onan stammers An arrow goes whistling through the air, planting itself in the wall less than an inch from Onan's ear. "Feelings can get both of us killed Onan. The damage is done nwo, but remember this for the future." The figure pulls a cord and the door behind Xzerrion adn Onan slams shut and a lock clicks. Then the figure reaches into a box. Bright light fills the room temporarially blinding everyone. When vision returns, A dirty grimy half-elf stands before them. The Glowstone he pulled out of hte box rests on a small table beside him. His left hand holds a short bow covered in intricater elvish carvings. and the only two figers remaining on his right hand notch another arrow. His clothes are torn and filthy, and a bettle crawls out of his tangled black hair, but somehow the half-elf still gives off an aire of dignity and pride. "I am Czaris Gort. The Stranger 'briefly fills Will in'. "OK, lets see what's down there." He steps out into the corridor and a harsh, guttural voice shouts from the other end "OY! YOU! WHERE D'YA FINK YOUR GOING!" He turns to face a pair of Orc guards. They charge and he calmly waits for them. As they reach him he suddenly lunges, becoming briefly a blur. Then there is silence, the Stranger and the orcs stand silently and still just past each other back to back. Then the orcs realise they're dead and fall over with a crash. "Right, lets see what the screaming is about. Kitty, can you take Roland and Roscoe and get the hell out of dodge? Looks like Will and me will be going to get Alex." Kitty slopes back into the cell and morphs into what can only be described as a bunk bed with legs. "If someone can load our comrades onto me, we can thinka bout leaving." The Guards lead Alex even deeper into the Dungeons, to a large room decorated like your typical medival torture chamber, except for the medical diagnostic equipment next to a table in the corner. The guards pulls a strugling Alex to the table and strap her down as The Controller starts ripping cloth out of his way to apply the electrodes on Alex. Once she is strapped down, the guards leave her and The Controller alone. As he finishes his work hooking her up to the machine, He begins to speak; slowly, softly, and carefully. "This needn't be any more unpleasent than you make it girl. I have no quarrel with you, only with the Army of Light to whom you have so unfortunately attached yourself. They may have told you many lies about me, but before you can judge me or my actions, you need to know why I am doing what I do. "Many years ago, disease crippled and nearly killed me. But I was stronger, and I survived. Then, I found a way to create a new body for myself. a strogner body that could not be taken away so easily again. But the Callahanians ended my dream, and my life. They stole the last shreds of my dignity adn my humanity. What I want is simple. I want revenge. i want the Army of Light. And I belive you know wehre they are. Tell me where girl. Tell me." A mild electrical jolt surges though Alex's body and she gives out a slight yelp, followed by, "Go to hell you tin can. I don't know anything." "That is unfortuante. Perhaps the threat of electricity just isn't great enough." The Controller moves to a burning brazier. Reaching into the flames, he pulls out a glowing red knife. "We want to make _sure_ it's sterile after all. Wouldn't want the cuts getting infected..." Fear grows in Alex's face and she grits her teeth in pain as The Controller slices down the sole of her foot with the blade. "The pain will stop when I know what I need to know. Where are the others? Where are Knightshift, Morgan, Fuzzy, and the lensdragon?" The blade is now being turned and driven slowing into Alex's right foot. Giving off a scream, "I DON'T KNOW!! I-I heard them mention some guy named Knytt doign recon somewhere, and soemthing about some woman named Morgan who always has a couple wolves next to her who turned into a dumb blonde named Buffy and is out there, but I dont' know where. REALLY!" Tears are rolling down Alex's face now and The Controller pauses for a moment, then drives the dagger into Alex's ankle, breaking bone and impaling it there. "I belive you. Now I will make the pain stop for good." replied The Controller as his eyes begin to glow. (OOC: OK, that abotu what you wanted Morgan?? ;-) Your turn!) Guarding the cell of the Callahan Army of Light. However, as she enters that level of the dungeon she notices that the guards are not drow... but an orc wearing the Controller's mark. With a thin smile, she falls back to talk to the last Drow guard she passed. "Tell the Captain that the Controller has taken it on himself to interrogate the Matron's special prisoners." Captain of the guard to the Weaponsmaster... Weaponsmaster to the Matron... She had a bit of time before the chaos hit. This time she barged in, striding with an arrogance normally associated with female Drow. She headed for the cell where Alex was being held, loosening her sword in it's scabbard. She could very well get killed in all of this... ... this was going to be fun. =========================== From: gamer@host.yab.com Date: Thu, 22 May 1997 14:23:34 -0700 (MST) Subject: Re: AAE: DwtD (One last plot twist, hopefully) On Wed, 21 May 1997, Michael Jon Knight wrote: > "You've had it!
