There is no magical radition from the > teleport what so ever. As the group teleports into the dungeons, their body heat activates the guardians the Controller had placed there. Silently, from their nooks and alcoves the move nad begins aiming an assortment of weapondry at the group as they watched the two images through thermographic imaging. Lasers, slugthowers adn micro-missles open fire a the group. Luckily (Or unluckilly) the first volley mostly seemed to hit Joe. The slugs and micromissles he shrugs off, but the lasers leave geusomelokoing black gashes through his tattered clothign adn ash white flesh. He opens fire with the Thompson filling the already echoy cooridoors with a deafening roar. The targets move superhumanly fast trying to avoid the blows as they shift to UV vioson to see where this thrid person showed up from, but Joe isn;t human and he's used to hitting fast targets, sending two of the forms crashing (or splatting more accurately) to the floor from high alcoves on the walls, and still has time to smash his fist into the face of a thrid standign nearby on the floor. In the muzzleflashes they can barely be seen, but they appear to be Drow with heavy Cybernetic enhancements. He then returns to picking locks, working as fast as his elvish reflexes allow. =========================== Date: Fri, 5 Sep 1997 17:06:33 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: AAE: Behind Closed Doors On 5 Sep 1997 17:03:19 -0700 (PDT) In Message # 00001267 fuzzy said: On Fri, 5 Sep 1997, P. The black lensman was standing across the room, he could feel his probes, but they were unable to penetrate Strangers mental shields. No one could do willpower like Stranger. "What do you want Gruber? Do you expect me to betray my friends?" Gruber laughed. "No, frankly I don't give a damn what they get up to. I want you to suffer, that's all." "Well get it over with, kill me so I can get on." Stranger felt the ropes that bound his hands, they were new and strong and tightly bound. But the chair was old and worm ridden. Gruber had made a mistake and would pay for it. "Nothing so easy, you don't die until you beg for it!" "Oh, surprise, surprise." Gruber drew a short, razor sharp sword and moved close to Stranger. He grabbed his collar and held the sword against Strangers face. "Shiny isn't it?" "Your boring me Gruber. Your not going to break me. You've got my body, but my mind remains as free as ever. You do not and cannot control that." Stranger glanced past Gruber at the lensman and threw the fullweight of his will against the mindshield that surrounded him. The lensman staggered before retaining his composure. Neither could break the others shields, but the lensman was having trouble holding him. He was sure he wouldn't let Gruber know this. "Oh no, 'stranger'" he made the word sound like a curse "I will break you, rest assured." He drew the blade down Strangers face, blood trickled down it. Stranger hoped he wasn't in the city of the dead anymore, or things could get awkward. "Your pathetic. Your not prepared to do whatever it takes." Stranger spat on Gruber who replied with a forcefully delivered backhand across the jaw. "We'll see how pathetic I am." Gruber backed off, resheathing his sword and drawing a laser pistol. to be continued.... Everyone in the CAoL (except the Stradragon and Crow, welcome back 'sis) are assembled in the Mercenary/Assassin's Guild in Dibis. The planning session is going in full swing and the background noise level in the room is becoming most impresive. Suddenly, one of the Lensdragon's characteristic, tinged with green, B5 Jump-point-style/X-window/gateway forms on one of the far walls and Dhyrclhanc, Synthea and Nimrod walk out of it, after which it closes. Some of the guildmembers present are outraged at negotiating with a woman, particular the clean-shaven captain in red. The guildmaster finally slams his hand down on the table, the sound silencing the uproar. "ENOUGH. I will take your opinions all under concideration. Those who object to what is negotiated," the Guildmaster looks at certain people, "need not apply for they or their companies to take the contract the GUILD will be offering so that the guild can fill the positions needed in the city guard." The Guildmaster looks at Patricia, "Miss, if you will wait for me in my office, we will negotiate the exact terms of the contract between the two of us." He then gestures for an orderly to escort Patricia out, to his office. The Guildmaster then turns his piercing gaze on each of those present in turn, ensuring silence at least for the moment. His hands move across the map-table, deploying tokens across the map. Briskly he orders the captains where to deploy their companies, showing both a keen understanding of strategy, the points Ak'hasta has raised, and internal politics. Once the captains have left, he draws up a list of possible targets for assassaination, sabotague, and spying, with occasional queries to Ak'hasta about where Drisonel would be likely to target. then querying the slender man in brown and Argent, he draws up a second list, matching the abilities of certain freelancers to the positions before handing the list to his second to be implemented. Argent's name appears no where on the list. "Argent, I wish you to remain at the guild for now. I will want to talk with you after I have dealt with the negotiations and other buisness." Argent nods, "Of course..." And watches as the guildmaster and the others leave. She murmurs to Ak'hasta, "I have rooms here..." She leads the way, silent until they are safely behind the closed doors of her room. =========================== Date: Sat, 6 Sep 1997 09:35:52 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: AAE: Behind Closed Doors On 6 Sep 1997 09:15:04 -0700 (PDT) In Message # 00001279 fuzzy said: On Sat, 6 Sep 1997, Caprice Davis wrote: > The Guildmaster looks at Patricia, "Miss, if you will wait for me in > my office, we will negotiate the exact terms of the contract between > the two of us." After this is over I will scan backtime and across dimensions to see if there are non-combatants that would be affected, and pull them through time to safety. And actually I was thinking of doing that for the people of this Misern. They seem to have been caught between two or more petty gods. When this is over I will reach back in time to the point where the godess destroyed the city and forward in time to the point where each person has just died. I will pull the living forward and move the bodies back. Thus the only thing that is destroyed was the already dead bodies of the people and the people are saved. Naturally, it's up to you what > we get; FTR, Roland is checking his mental status while Morgan > is examining his physical condition.) (OOC: As to what exactly is wrong with Dhyrclhanc -- Roland, you'll find his, er... my, er... Dhyrclhanc's mind and brain are intact but psychically he is in great pain, to put it mildly. All the neural pathways where the First-Ring had been mentaly woven into Dhyrclhanc's psi-self are raw and, litteraly, ripped open -- while there was nothing realy physical attaching the First-Ring to the Lensdragon it had been imbedded into his psi-aspect/aura. In addition, the fact that he hasn't eaten anything in about a month of subjective time has now, also caught up with him, this even despite his species much vaunted ability to survive extreamly long periods of time without food or rest! To cure his physical ailments, all is needed is a few week's rest, and an IV nutritonal feed, the latter being an interesting prospect because the Lensdragon's skin is 400% the density of a normal, human, epidermis. The realy difficult part of all this will be the healing of the mental and psychic scarring, which will require the work of people like Roland, Morgan, and Fuzzy, plus the healing of the psycological trauma of the loss of the First-Ring and the fact that at least half of the Sentinel-Lensdragon's previous arsenal is now gone. On a related note, Morgan will note that, from a physical standpoint, the use of the First-Ring has seemed to shove Dhyrclhanc's normal maturation processes into dormancy and the removal, albeit traumatic, of it has kick-started it back into working order. While he may have thought of himself as a "young adult" from his genetic potential his current life-stage would put him at a point more akin to a 4- or 6-yr old human infant. Similarly, he has only been using, conservativly speaking, 30% of hispsionic and magickal potential. Again, learning to use this 60% untaped potential is going to require the help of both Roland and Fuzzy. Also, despite being about 30% of his normal size, Dhyrclhanc's physical abilities are only 50% their normal level and his natural psychic and magicakal abilities are unchanged! One of the problems, however is that unless someon can cancel the last spell he cast on himself with the First-Ring, he's going to be stuck at this size, perminently! In any case, it's going to have to be Sythea and Nimrod who'll be giving the CAoL a helping hand durring the up coming battle w/ DtB because Dhyrclhanc will be out of it for at least the 1st half of the "festivities"! P.S: Don't worry, Shadow and I do plan to get him the First-Ring back, eventualy, but I, for one am interested in making him a little more three-dimensional before this happens.) };8) =========================== Date: Sat, 6 Sep 1997 23:36:23 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: A Plan of Action On 6 Sep 1997 23:31:46 -0700 (PDT) In Message # 00001294 fuzzy said: > On 6 Sep 1997 01:35:05 -0400 (EDT) In Message # 00001292 > Dane0R0A@aol.com said: > > The Stardragon replies \OK, you got it. Two new forms enter the fray, their glowign reg eyes the only thign visible in the near pitch black darkness. Xzerrion gets the cells open, the little girl sits in the middle of her cell crying with fright. Miles crouches low in a combat stance in the darkest corner of his own cell, sharpened bone in his hand like a dagger. As he unlocks Shiela's cell, she finally shows some sign of sentience, leaping up from the bed she sits on and drawing a glowing broadsword from it's scabbard. "DIE WITCH!!!!" She scream and swings the sword at Xzerrion. it cuts through the steel bars like they were made fo string and comes far too close to his head for comfort. From his tower, The Controlelr sees this through the eyes of his drones and opens an x-window... Xzerrion backs up slightly when an X-Window appears behind him and a hand reaches out from it grabbing him by the back of the throat adn lifitng him off the ground. the Controller's cold metalic voice seems even more ominous in the sudden silence as even Shiela stops her assault. "So The army of Light comes at last. You were expected so much earlier perhaps you are all getting slow in your old age. no Matter. now we are at Endgame. You _WILL_ summon the Harlequin God, or else I will incinerate this one's head as I did the one you call Knytt. I have kileld one of you already, do you think another will be much of a porblem?" before anyone can react, the room lights up seemingly brilliantly as all the torches on the walls suddenly spring to life filling the cooridoor with their flickering red orange light. And standing htere framed by them, behind hte Controller Drones stands Driscoll. "There's no need to summon me, I am already here." He walks forward between the drone who turn as if to grab him, then fall over backwards. he tosses two powerpacks on the floor without pausing his step. The Controller's mechanical face almost looks as if it is smiling. He tosses Xzerrion aside like a rag doll sending him tumbling into the cell next to Miles who still seems to be trying to figure out who the enemy is. "Ahh Lord Harlequin, God of theives, Master of Bards and Poets, King of lawyers I greet thee. You already know who I am I am sure. And I appologize for my methods, but I knew no other way of gaining your undeivided attention. Your Borther is yours. I knew I could not keep them from you forever, they are your own. But I needed them to be givine the chance to offer out what is my own." He gestures and Shiela steps out of the cell, Glowing broadsword still clutched in her hand. Driss takes a half step backwards. whispered under his breath betays the shock his mask hides. "shiela..." Driss draws his rapier and looks down to tip at The Controller as Shiela steps between the two and raises her own sword. "So amongst all else you are a necromancer as well are you??? You think the dead will gain favor from me? Then you are..." He is intruppted by a soft but firm reply from the Controller. "She is not dead." "horribly mistaken!!! not Dead? I saw her die with my own eyes! I held her in my arms after life passed form her body." "Yes, so you did. Or so you think." The controller raises a small box in his hand and a hologram appears on the floor between Driss and Shiela. It shows a stone corridor, and two women talking, and fighting. One of them is Shiela, the other is a raven haired mage. The air shimmers and Driss Appears behind hte mage, sword out. She turns and blasts him with a lightning bolt and he crumples onto the floor, Shiela charges the mage, but another spell knocks her blade away. The mage says something and then another lightning bolt takes Sheila's life. But Driss has gotten back up and runs the mage through from behind. He doesn;t bother to free his blade form the corpse, but stumbles over to shiela's charred body. Hold cradles her head in his lap a short while and cries, Then he takes her hand and retrieving a ring from one of his pouches, slips in on the ring finger of her left hand and says something to her. Wiping away the still falling tears, he retireves his sword and moves on out of the picture. But now another form appears. The metal form of the Controller. He retrieves tissue samples from teh body adn begins to operate, removing her brain and placing it into a special container. then he opens an x-window and disappears. The hologram flickers away. "You looked for her didn;t you? you blamed Diswan of hiding her from you. You blamed Ligi for stashign her away to torment you. But you never realized the other possibility. That she didn't die. Diswan never collected her soul. Her body was destroyed, beyond your ability to fix at the time. But her mind was intact. what made her her was intact. And I saved it and created a new body for her. I made my own improvements of course. I control that mind now. I can turn it on and off like a switch. Deny me, and I will turn off her brain forever and she will die again because of your arrogance." Driss can;t hide the pain in his soul as those words cut through him like a razor sharp knife. Fianlly his whispers. "W-what do you want?" The Cotnroller chuckles. "Your power. Starfire. Was shiela ever impressed by power? Do you htink she would enjoy being betrothed to a god? if you keep the power you risk losing her anyways. This way it can all return to how it was. You can be together again. You can settle down and leave your past behind you and spend the rest of your mortal lives in blissful happiness." Driss removes his mask, and she sees shock in Shiela's eyes. He knows the Controlelr is right. she would never be happy wed to a God. And Yet could he give up the intoxicating power? he drew out the glowing stone on its mithril chain aroudn his neck and fingered it thoughfully. Then suddenly he yanks of hte chain snapping it and throws the stoen to The Controller's feet. The Controller scoops it up and as he touches it, metal turns to flesh. And where a robot once stood, stands a young man once again with long flowign red hair and shocking green eyes. "Yes... YES... _YES_!!!!!!!!!!" His voice rings through the air like thunder. The dungeon disappears and suddenly a grassy plain appears. Standing in the plain are the Gods and Goddesses of Quaren's pantheon. "We will not allow this. Driss was a mortal and a rogue, but at least he was off this world." They draw their weapons adn advance towards the Controller btu he just sneers at them. "You are weak. you are fools. you limit your powers but I know no such bonds." He raises Starfire adn a beam of pure chaos energy flies at the dieties, splitting itself and forming into their opposite elements before striking. Dwar is blown backwards by the ravishing wind, Dargon is frozen in a giant glacier that even his dragonbreath can;t melt through. Darath and Ligi standing side by side are blasted by lightning and darkning respectively. Diswan screams as flesh regrows and he becomes mortal, only to die as he is buried under the mountain that dropped on Elsi... And as the Gods lay broken adn beaten the Controller's smile only seems to grown and grow. "Quaren has fallen, but I will not be satiisfied with the taste of the water. I must possess teh Well too!!" At first nothing, then the winds twist together in teh center of hte field, creating a larger and larger wirlwind. as it subsides, there stands a creature a thousand meteres tall with a billion arms and legs, adn the head of every species in the multiverse. When Chaos is active, Order is apssive and becomes the standard of the universe. The stanard to which all returns once Chaos has left it. But Now Chaos is forced into passivity. Chaos is the norm, and reality rips itself apart. Order must act to restore the Balance.* The Controller lashes out, rage on his face. The presense becomes stronger, and light seems to hang in midair, formless yet every shape at once. *You have destroyed the Balance Controller. And I can not allow it. You have forced me to act. Now see just what power order does wield.* Chaos and the Starfire gem vanish and flesh becomes metal once more. The Audience are sent back to where they were taken from. Xzerrion, Joe, Caprice, and Miles find themselves back in the dungeon facing the Controlelr Drones and remaining Drow Cyborgs. The StarDragon looks into the past of the entity looking for its origin. He finds that this "CatChangling" Emerged from a multidimensional Chaos vortex that consumed 9 Universes, 25 subjective years ago, Looking beyond that he finds that in each universe a Normal varient of the being was present at an experiment. Fuzzy The Journyman Mage was assisting a Sourcerer attempt to create a synthetic Crystal Sphere in A SpellJammer Realm. Fuzzy The Engineer was attempting to Test An Alderson Drive in a Traveler Realm. Fuzzy The Techno was attempting the stabilization of a Naked Singularity. Fuzzy The Technician was soldering the last connections of the USS Eldrige's Radar Invisiblity system When the Ship was hit by lightening. Fuzzy The Rigger was the pilot of a prototype hyper-ship using a Heisenberg Drive system. Fuzzy The Engineer was working on a Negative Inertia Generator for the Galactic Patrol. The cat idly interested, but most of his thoughts were lost in what was in the realm of "could be", not what was happening. The feline God had complete confidence Knytt would win. So, to amuse himself, he had been mulling over what Knytt had been telling him all these years and what he had learned on his own. Trying to see if he could get a coherent picture of his friend. *The Controller has no idea what he is up against. Not a human, not a powerful weapon, but a power that the Controller or very few else have. Knytt has luck and it is perhaps the strongest weapon in his arsenal. And he doesn't know he even has it, except in a vague feeling in the back of his mind. But, why is he so lucky? *Why? Why not? *Seriously, why is Knytt so damned lucky? Like a cat with an infinite number of lives, he returns again and again to win out against evil. Well, the answer is, like so many things about Knytt, complicated. Actually, it is simple if you only know what to look for. Knytt once said he had Han Solo luck. He infact played cards with the real Han Solo and won as much as he lost. Thing was, both he and Han have the same SORT of luck. It is a freakish ability to have the right thing happen exactly when you need it to. Bearing in mind, that the right thing is not always what you expect it to be. Knytt has died. His spirit was carried in the Gateway bands to a waiting clone. Knytt had happened to have the idea as he watched Vincent die. He was too busy to think about it, so it stayed in his subconscious. When Knytt awoke, in the new body, the idea clicked into his conscious mind. After leaving the Doctor, he wrote an email telling an earlier Doctor to clone a body from the blood samples taken from the hotel. The Doctor complied, knowing he would create a paradox if he didn't. What gave him the original idea, an idea that would save his life and ensure his continued existince? A quirk that Vincent happened to say the only way to escape was through death. Luck. The same luck that guards us all. Only amplified to an incredible degree. The universe would bend over backwards for this man. Chaos may find paradoxes fascinating, but it is watching a true hero's luck that intrigues me. *I've tried to explain it to him. Tried to show him how to control it, but even though he realizes his life is full of coincidences, he still refuses to see a reason for it all. As always, he holds himself back.* Pyewackett looked at Knytt's wrists. *Those Gateway Bands. What are the odds, in that huge library, that of all the titles he would notice, in a dark room no less, was the one book behind which the Gateway Katana was hidden? The one item that would be his salvation from death by the same enemy he is currently confronting? It's the same power that protects them all. Roland, John, Morgan, Fuzzy...(Fuzzy, now _his_ luck seems to be balanced on a razor's edge, a nudge one way, good, a nudge another way, bad. I must keep an eye on that one)...they all have amazing luck. And to have all this energy gathered in one place, no wonder the inhabitants here look on with such awe. I am in awe and I am part of it!* /Pyewackett? What are you muttering about back there?/ *Uh, nothing, just trying to decide what to have at the victory feast.* /Well, let's win first, ok?/ *Luck is on our side. We can't lose.* Pyewackett's "grin" was Cheshire cat for certain. =========================== Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 07:36:22 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: Aae-Balance in all things On 8 Sep 1997 09:32:55 -0500 In Message # 00001313 Michael Jon Knight said: >On 8 Sep 1997 09:29:34 -0400 In Message # 00001311 > Caprice said: > >>On 7 Sep 1997 18:44:59 -0700 (MST) In Message # 00001310 >> gamer@host.yab.com said: >> >> The EMp burst hits the tower explosively overloading some of hte >>security systems in teh stairwell. "What the hell was that?" said Gruber. "I wouldn't worry about it, you'll have plenty of time to mull it over." Every metal object in the room exploded with sparks. Gruber and the lensmans sidearms exploded in their holsters, Strangers swords crackled and erupted with energy, while the D-jump exploded and threw itself off the table. Nails and belt buckles spark and protest. The Colt Python, ripped itself open, the sparking detonating the bullets in the chambers, which punched their way out and into the nearest wall. Calmly, Stranger topples backwards with his chair. As the chair hits he wrenches his right arm, tearing off half of the back of the chair, he allows the minilens to return. He can hear Gruber cursing and can feel the lensmans sense of perception reaching out, trying to see what he's up to. /* Very well, you want, you get */ Stranger dropped his mental shields and reactivated his emotions, his body jerkled physically as the rage and grief returned to him. The lensmans mind virtually fell into his, he pulled him in, throwing every memory he possessed at him, especially the times he died and the times he killed. The lensman, quietly fell over, overloaded. Gruber was above him, pulling him up by the lapels. "What the hell is going on you bastard!" "Shut up!" explained Stranger and brought his hand around, catching Gruber a hefty blow with piece of wood in his hand. As Gruber rolled away, Stranger's next move was instinctive, to the point that he didn't know he could do it. The minilens glowed brightly and his longsword leapt off the table and flew into his hand. Two swift draw cuts freed his feet and he scrambled onto his knees. The lensman was starting to get back up, so, in one swift motion he drew back his hand and hurled the longsword which impaled the lensman, pinning him to the wall behind and killing him instantly. His left hand was still tied to the chair and he helped himself up with it, before smashing it into Gruber who was charging him, sword in hand. As Gruber disentangled himself, Stranger's other sword, the ninja-to flew across the room and Stranger snatched it out fo the air. Their blades met in mid air, the note of the impact echoing around the small room. This was fine, thought Stranger, one on one, I can live with this. They duelled silently and mercilessly, always going for the kill and never giving their opponent a second, they were well matched, too well matched, until Stranger stumbled and fell back, heavily. Seeign his chance Gruber lunged for the kill, and was surprised to find that Stranger wa not at all unbalanced, but was using the maneuver to shift his weight and lever Grubers sword out of his hand. It flew gracefully across the room and embedded itself in the wall. Gruber tried to retreat rapidly, but Strangers blade caught him across the upper thigh and he fell heavily to the floor. Stranger raised his blade for the kill, but Gruber had enough time to reach into his jacket pocket and produce a grenade. The pin was tied inside the pocket and came out as the grenade was drawn forth. Stranger held his blow. "Stalemate stranger." Stranger crossed to the table and carefully buckled on his sword belt. "You think so?" "You can't kill me without killing yourself" Stranger sheathed his ninjato and slung the falchion across his back. "Maybe I don't want to kill you." Gruber sneered. Stranger pulled his sword out of the lensman who fell back to the floor. He walked over to Gruber. "Maybe, I'm happy to leave you here." At that Stranger brought the blade down on Gruber's other hand, neatly severing it. Gruber contained the scream and swore at Stranger "What the hell do you think that's going to achieve?" The grenade was still tightly clutched in Gruber's remaining hand. "You won't let go, because you don' want to die. Your not prepared to do whatever it takes to beat me. Hence, you never will." Stranger walked to the door as Gruber realised what was happening. "Besides, try putting the bloody pin back in now." Stranger stepped smartly through the door, closed it after him and started running. =========================== Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 13:06:44 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: Aae-Balance in all things On 8 Sep 1997 20:11:34 -0700 In Message # 00001317 Gareth L Owen said: > Ref: Small Wars > > Another large rathole forms and the terrier takes cover in it, Body > laguage indicates that Kitty should follow suit, A muzzle pokes back > out and barks. As he cast the spell, he concentrated on one thing, Information on the StarDragon, and waited for a response. =========================== Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 15:18:42 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: Aae-Balance in all things On 8 Sep 1997 22:49:18 -0700 In Message # 00001324 Gareth L Owen said: > On 8 Sep 1997 13:26:03 -0700 (PDT) In Message # 00001318 > fuzzy said: > >> On 8 Sep 1997 20:11:34 -0700 In Message # 00001317 >> Gareth L Owen said: >> >> Kitty decides that it would suddenly be a real good time to not be >> metallic and morphs into her normal sized cat form and follows the >> terrier into the rathole. > > To A very strang place where the more attention you pay to some > thing the closer it is. > > > The Terrier beggins to look puzzled two seconds later and then > stickes a nose back out... Suddenly, Kitty picks up Stranger's scent. There's too much ozone for her to track it well, but the terrier seems better able to filter the different scents . /* Stranger */ sends Kitty /* You there? */ She picks up the confusion of a hard fought close range melee, but Stranger is too busy to reply. "C'mon kid, this way" Kitty bounds off, with the terrier in close pursuit going directly by her link to Stranger. Minutes later they meet up in the street, Stranger running from the other direction, apparently in a hurry. "Hi Kit. Like the dog, it's very you." Kitty scowls at him. "What now then?" "Dunno, I guess.." > Every mind in Misern Hears and Understands... > '\#Let the Way of Ballance Stand Open#\'...etc. "..oh boy, looks like Fuzzy's mad at Darath. Lets head for the keep, see if the snatch team's still there." "If not?" "We'll improvise." Kitty morphs and forms into a hoverbike, Stranger climbs on and the terrier leaps up into his lap, and sits looking forward. "Hey, Kitty, why can't I steer?" "You don't think I'm letting you drive do you?" They launch into the air, and head towards the keep, the ground rumbling softly and all hell breaking loose around them. =========================== Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 16:07:04 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: Aae-Balance in all things On 8 Sep 1997 15:48:30 -0700 (PDT) In Message # 00001325 fuzzy said: > On 8 Sep 1997 22:49:18 -0700 In Message # 00001324 > Gareth L Owen said: > Kitty follows the Terrier out, the terrier continues following the > Stranger's scent, all Kitty can smell is ozone. Down but not out, The Contorller's face chars and melts slightly in some places and his chest armor is badly dented but he ignores those facts. Fingers plunge themselves into the front of the hovercyclone and feet gain purchase on the ground long enought to twist and hurl the vehicle away with tremendous strength. As Kyntt tries to re-stabilize the flipping Cyclone, Then Controller takes advantage of the chance and raises his small antenna, attempting to sieze control of the cyclone. he and Knytt wrestle mentally but trying to parry The Controller's mind and keep from crashing proves to much as the COntroller siezes control. His face appears on the internal screens and both automatic and manual control systems lock up. But then the screens flicker and something new comes up: UN SPACEY CONTROL PERAMITERS BREECHED. SHUTTING DOWN. BOOTING.... K.A.O.Z DRIVER SYSTEM SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED. All controls return to normal and a small rectangular light flahses on and off as a voice speaks in their heads. "Welcome Michael. I am Kaoz Industries Two Thousand but you may call me Kitt for short. Let's kick some Controller butt." The Controlelr sees he losses control before Knytt crashes adn decided to move to battle to his own terms. Opening an X-window he dashes through... Finding himself inside the cage in the tomb. Not exactly where he wanted to be, but no matter. His antenna twitches again and a hologram of himself at a control panel appears. Aslo the auto defense systems activate with an order to vaporize anything larger than a basketball that moves as soon as The Controller leaves. That done, he activates a singal beacon in the tomb and exits through another x-window to a secret lab in Dibis where his heavy weapondry is stashed. But he appears in the Hospital under one of the beds. TBC ;-) OOC: what? Is someone REALLY going to tell Chaos to stay the hell away from this??? hehehehe he doesn't like being made to sit in one place by anyone! ;-) =========================== Date: Mon, 8 Sep 1997 17:07:33 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: The Fate of Darath the Black On 8 Sep 1997 16:46:51 -0700 (MST) In Message # 00001330 gamer@host.yab.com said: > On 8 Sep 1997 11:30:25 -0700 (PDT) In Message # 00001314 > fuzzy said: > > '\#Corrupt Priest > Called 'Darath' > Called 'The Black' > Come forth and Face Me in Battle > Your Doom Awaits > > If you are too cowardly > A worm to hide in Your Pit of Rotting Flesh > > Know that Your City will pay the Price of any Delay > Come Forth Diswan Awaits your Soul > #\' > > Direct to the StarDragon > \Hit the Gate now if you please.\ > > > > Fuzzy readys his Sword as Its sheath once again flows to his arm and > shapes into a small shield. Darath teh Black comes forth, stepping through a wall and walking on the air a hundred feet above to ground towards Fuzzy. He can be heard chuckling as he comes. "So yet another upstart thinks that a few parlor tricks can cow the great Darath. But you face not a man, but a God among men. You speak of sending me to Diswan, but I am afraid his cool calming touch will never find you to save you from the pain of death. Instead you will serve me in eternal torment." ===========================
