Raver wrinkled their nose in disgust, before sheathing their sword and removing their helm completely. With a gleeful yell, the demon began to introduce the Cylons to a taste of demonic hand-to-claw (and skull-to-extinguisher). Claws and fangs tore through the Cylons with deceptively little effort. The last thing the occasional starfish was aware of was a mailed claw ripping it off its victim's face, or a cold shot of lime... =========================== Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 15:41:33 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: AAE IV: Starfish-(I can't do it...) The human salutes as she vanishes c/o Caprice. /Guys, am I correct in thinking there's a _big_ starro somewhere?/ Stranger tepped over a fallen Cylon spraying lime into a rank of starro drones, unfortunately the Cylon proved to not be out cold, merely stunned, as he reached up, tripping Stranger over. Stranger lost his phaser as he went down, the small weapon skittering across the floor. Stranger rolled onto his back, striking the Cylon with his free foot. As Stranger tried to rise a group of nearby Cylons descended on him, he dissappeared under a wave of shiny armour. Morgan saw his distress and started veering towards him, but he'd drifted too far from her in their assualt. He'd completely dissappeared by now. A familiar humming noise came from the pile ofCylons who appeared to be slashing unmercifully down on him. One fell back, apparently dead, then another, finally they all reeled back. Stranger rose from a crouch to his feet lightsaber humming in one hand, fire extinguisher in the other. He was singing Dixie now. A starro drone came at his side, it was too close for the spray so he struck it a resounding blow across the head with teh extinguisher, it reeled against the wall, blood running from an open wound. Another wall of Cylons charged him. "Shit!" He flung the lightsaber, it cartwheeled through the Cylons, scything them down. Reaching over to the wounded drone, he grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and pulled it back, spraying the starro liberally with lime. The starro fell off and Stranger stamped on it as he mouthed "sorry" at the freed human before he dissappeared. /Sorry Legion, I had to hurt that one, events, er, got on top of me. I'll try to be more careful/ Turning to face the Cylons again he found one was still standing, charging at him at full speed. He reached out with his open hand as if to shake the intruders hand. His lightsaber flew over the Cylons shoulder, landing in Strangers hand. The Cylon had too much momentum and impaled himself on the lightsaber. Stranger stepped over him, facing the rapidly diminishing foe. Morgan was nearby again, and he could see Raver cutting a swath through them. This level should be clear soon, he thought. "..look away, look away, look away Dixie land.." =========================== Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 20:09:37 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: AAE IV: Goodbye, 007. (OOC: please strike the part where Dragon's Bane fires one side's 'small' weapons at Amazo) Three things happen almost simultaneously (less than a pico second apart). First a worm hole appears at Despero's feet. About three inches from his feet is the surface of a black hole, with all that implies. Second, a second worm hole appears 'above' his head. About three inches from his head is the core of a blue white super giant star. The natural result of this is a beam of matter of high temperature (tens or hundreds of million degrees) traveling from the star (at nearly the speed of light), to the black hole, with Despero right in the middle(OOC: if Despero survives this, the two worm holes, will travel with him, unless they would get too close to a CAoL member). Third Dragon's Bane teleports to, more or less, the same location, but now it is pointed directly at Amazo. Then (a micro second later it fires everything it has (including the main spinal mount gun) at Amazo. The beams are highly FTL, so even the superspeed senses of those that have them don't register a lag between the beams leaving Dragon's Bane's weapons, and them hitting Amazo. Amazo learns to his great displeasure (assuming he lasts long enough) that Dragon's Bane did not fire with anywhere near maximum power at the Cylon Base Star. (OOC: well did I toast him this time?). From the main gun, Amazo gets hit by at least ten times as much as the Base Star did. The total energy from the rest of the guns, is about .001th as much (and there are 20,000 of them). (assuming Amazo and Despero are out of action. Ignore the following otherwise) the areas, that Despero, and/or (OOC: since I'm not sure which one or both were doing it) had transmuted, sparkle for a moment, and then resume their former (before the attack) appearance (OOC: Transmuted back). (OOC: if Despero isn't out of it) Aurora wacks Despero with a mental bolt, twin to the one that got Psycho. =========================== Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 20:38:20 -0700 (PDT) Subject: AAE 4: Launch Codes of the Gods. Find a universe where the relative velocity of matter in *normal space* is many multiples of C with respect to the target universe. They gated through a couple of planets equipped with Bergenholms, and cut them loose where there inertial velocities would carry them into Eddore and it's star. The physics gets *extremely* weird since in most universes it's not *possible* for matter to move FTL without using inertialess fields or playing tricks with subspace. So the resulting mess as the universe tries to cope pretty much annihilates everything within several light years.^ ^I'm not taking any chances. Then psi screamers appear within (if teleports into DB are possible) or around (if not) the Bane, slamming Aurora with enough antipsi to give Mentor a bloody nose from the headache alone. And _Amazo_ fires the spinal mount gun, along with all his secondaries and Kryptonian heat vision thrown in, at the Bane. (The Lantern power is being used entirely for defense.) Then Starbreaker shows up. The spinal blast is sucked off course, right into the cosmic vampire. After events in Beginning of the End... *My dear woman, might I suggest a truce?* Despero sends with surprising gentility. *This is definitely a case of 'enemy of my enemy.'* =========================== Date: Thu, 6 Aug 1998 23:29:08 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: AAEIV: Veteran of a Thousand Psychic Wars On Thu, 06 Aug 1998 23:02:51 Morgan and/or Roland Said As CAoL Message # 00005395 >On Wed, 05 Aug 1998 08:19:42 -0400 >Caprice Said As CAoL Message # 00005379 > >Legion gently contacts Lyta at the first sign that Lyta is reaching >out the CAoL. provide a link with his army of light if you will accept our aid.> > >To a telepath who doesn't know Legion, the feeling of her mind has to >be odd.... one mind making the contact, with faint echoes from the >two dozen plus other minds that make her up. *Are you...the Army of Light?* Lyta asks hesitantly, apparently mistaking Legion herselves for the entire CAoL, but not quite certain that such is the case. >Legion offers Lyta, area-effect psionic enhancer, to strengthen your efforts.> *Legion, I/we am/are fighting psis so monstrous several of us throw up at regular intervals. A few moments later, an engine roared as a dark shadow shot out across the desert-like surface of the planet. The black hovercar, front end looking like something out of a Mad Max film, the rear half like something out of Back to the Future, skirted a few feet above the dusty plain, a pale blue light illuminating the ground beneath it. /On my way, Roland. If the Great Machine is powering that thing, it would go a long way to explaining where King Crab is getting the power to do what he's doing./ Tink meanwhile vanished from repairing the station's weapons, Nemisis doing that job more than adequately. As she disappeared, a mental giggle escaped onto the link. /This is gonna be fun./ About a minute later, a white-colored jumpoint opened and a vaguely familiar shape emerged. Something like a huge angelfish the length of the Galactia and as high as Babylon 5 was long, more aptly recognized by station personnel as a lot like a Minbari cruiser but gray, not blue and without the curves, having a more angular shape. In fact, the ship was very geometrical in design. The flat surfaces a smooth seamless grey and where two surfaces joined, there was a blue line that glowed almost like neon light inside frosted glass tubing. Mike chuckled. /Very Tron-ish, Tink./ A voice like Marilyn Monroe replied brightly, /Yeah, we had to talk her out of creating a Captain Tron Sheridan. Hi guys, it's Melissa, thought we would bring reinforcements. Telepathic fighter pilots. Totally gnarly, huh?/ Simultaniously, in appropriate formats (audio, video, two-dee, three-dee) came the following: Standing in a circle of light in a dark room, the battle raging all around behind, stood a young woman in a Babylon 5 Army of Light uniform, almost identical to the ones worn by the command staff of the station, save two details. The uniform was grey where it usually was black, and the grey seams were that glowing blue like the exterior of the ship. Again, that Tron theme mixing in. The woman's crew cut blonde hair shone starkly in the harsh light, her gray eyes piercing straight through the screen, strong features set in a mask of stone-cut seriousness balanced with the same stone-like calm. She spoke in a Marilyn Monroe voice that was a striking contrast to her demeaner. {This is the DTS Walkabout, Captain and Callahanian Army of Light member Grep Seven commanding. We heard you could use some help, Captain Ivanova, Commander Adama,} Grep cracks a small smile, {Uncle Roland.} Behind and to the left, from Grep's perspecitive, stood a woman in a grey sleeveless robe similar to something Delenn would wear, with a glowing blue gown beneath. The second woman's hair was also platinum blonde, but hung halfway down her back in small spirals. Otherwise, she was a twin to Grep, down to genetics. {Launch all fighters,} Melissa said, then looked over into the distant 'camera', {Beware the Bunyip, Captain, Commander, Uncle, those are our pilots.} Anyone wondering what a 'bunyip' was didn't have long to wait to see one. From the center of the ship, between the ridges of the stylized Minbari 'crest', green dots flew out and turned sharply toward the battle. Totaling one hundred in number, the strange creatures flew effortlessly through space. Indistinct at first due to the great distance, the 'bunyip' fighters looked like they had the body of a sea cow, with the head of a bulldog, a leech-like mouth, huge cat-like yellow eyes, horns like a bull, and were covered from tail flipper to head and fin with bright green scales.[1] With a roaring screech that only registered on unfriendly minds, cybernetic or organic, the bunyip fighters descended upon the Cylons and Eddorians, gouts of flame like solar flares and fiery blossoms of enemy ships marking their path. As one of the fighters exploded in a burst of solar plasma, often taking the offending ship with it, another emerged from the _Walkabout_ ready to take its 'brother's' place. /^Legion, don't worry about teleporting our pilots. They're safe already. Sort of a VR-type thing.^/ Melissa sends. Minbari find threes sacred. Three castes: Warrior, Religious, Worker. Three representatives from each caste sat on the Grey Council for a thousand years, since the time Valen founded it. And all command chambers on Minbari cruisers have three positions, three spots of light, for three commanders to monitor and direct the battle holographicly projected around them. Three working together. One was Grep. One was Melissa. And there was the third commander. A figure in a grey hooded robe. The light was off where that person stood, but the figure could just be made out in the background, watching and guiding things in a strange, silent telepathic communion with the twins and the pilots of the fighters. [1] I've expanded a bit on the bunyip description and picture I located in a book on Dragons. =========================== Date: Fri, 7 Aug 1998 05:07:33 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Re: AAEIV: Veteran of a Thousand Psychic Wars On Fri, 07 Aug 1998 07:42:16 -0400 Caprice Said As CAoL Message # 00005397 >On Thu, 06 Aug 1998 23:02:51 >Morgan and/or Roland Said As CAoL Message # 00005395 > > *Are you...the Army of Light?* Lyta asks hesitantly, apparently >mistaking Legion herselves for the entire CAoL, but not quite certain >that such is the case. They have stormed the gates of Hell. Thousands of ships swirl in the dark ether of Thirdspace, tended by stations that dwarf Babylon Five. It's easy to see why the Sunbeam didn't destroy it; there's no one generator. Several of the stations combine to make the opening in dimensions. Basically, the fighters are now _also_ guilt-free crunchies. As per standard Eddoran training, the sentients _are_ competent and well-trained, but definitely no match for James Bond.) >/That's news? Well he didn't necessarily fail but a slight reconfiguration of his look would show that the shield takes it's ques on who's naughty and who's nice from Kara's own mind. If she considers him nice he gets in with only slight readjustment of signal shape, otherwise it does it's best to block, and will attempt to auto block or at least filter anything coming in with enough power to hurt (such as a psi-blast). So I don't see anything wrong with they way it happened, just might take a half pico-second longer is all, and would definately be something that he notices. > James informed Kara as to the unknown shield, and studied the nature > of it's purpose and maker. He also can not see the other side of the Third Space portal, which is a little disturbing since he is still parked on the astral and can sense nearby realities, indicating that the other side of that portal is no where near here dimensionally speaking. Lizard Tongue a.k.a. Doc sorry about the confusion hope this helps some. =========================== Date: Sun, 9 Aug 1998 09:36:39 -0700 (PDT) Subject: AAE: The Harlequin awakens. On Sun, 9 Aug 1998 09:41:46 -0700 (MST) Driscoll Said As CAoL Message # 00005426 Chaos frowns at Roscoe's appearance on the planet. He's still a ways off from Driss, but following around the dome at a run like that he should arrive any time. Naturally Chaos could just FORCE Driss to do what he wants, but it's so much more fun playing his brain. Then inspiration hits. Chaos appears before as a 7 headed gopher wearing a fedora on each head and flapping chicken wings. "Driss! Driss! There's no time for that now. They need your help!" "Huh? I thought I was helping." "Yes yes my boy but they need more help than an average immortal can give. Take my wing." Driss starts to reach out but then recoils for a moment for some unknown reason. Some deepseeded terror that chooses to stay hidden in the shadows of his mind. But then he grits his teeth and touches Chaos's wing. Energy flows through him and his clothing changes slightly into a doublet and hose in aleternating red and white. Finally the energy works its way to his head and his face disappears behind the harlequin mask and large floppy hat. He gives Chaos a flamboyant bow and flies off as Roscoe rounds the bend. *DRISS! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE????* Roscoe mentally shouts at Driss but Chaos parries the message away before it can reach him. "Sit down adn watch the fireworks Roscoe. Driss is safe in my capable wings." laughs Chaos, vanishing just as Roscoe lunges at him fangs bared. A single form races out of the atmosphere of E-3, growing as it comes until it's a literal giant. *Harlequin, Harlequin Find your place* *Harlequin Harlequin with white on your face* *Harlequin Harlequin you're finally here* *Harlequin Harlequin banish my fear* Driss singsongs out telepathically to no one in particular. He stops and looks around at all the congestion and various beings. *Woo Hoo! Quite a party going on. it's a bit messy though.* He waves adn all the floating wreckage just vanishes. On the oposite side of E-3 from the done a giant sphinx appears wearing Driss's grinning features. *Alright! Conga time!* He gestures again and several nearby cylon ships twist and bend and shift into the shapes of giant Cylons. The nearest one puts its hands on Harlequin's hips and the rest all follow suit and they begin dancing a conga line to music only they seem to hear. =========================== Date: Sun, 9 Aug 1998 12:31:09 -0700 (PDT) Subject: RE: AAE IV: Beginning of the End Nemisis Said As CAoL Message # 00005427 > On Sat, 08 Aug 1998 20:26:13 > Morgan and/or Roland Said As CAoL Message # 00005416 > > But they've found the Gate. > It's easy to see why the Sunbeam didn't destroy it; there's no > one generator.
