Action, Adventure, Excitement, Part 6 Finale - Chapter 3 Subject: Re: AAE6: Getting this road on the show (wait a minute...) I know that this may involve some anquish for some of you, however it will assist in the endevor."*/ Oracle states. After everybody grasps hands Aurora, Oracle, Hydra, and Failsafe appear just outside the circle (Hydra for once is about human sized). A moment later, all four transform into points of light. Then the points stretch out to each other to form a circle of nearly blinding light. Then The Stardragon, appears directly over the center of both circles, in the form of a point of light. As The Stardragon appears, the telepaths (and Lens bearers) feel a VERY muted pulse of terror emitted by Aurora. It is clear to them, that for some reason she is in abject terror of The Stardragon and that she was unable to completely stifle her reaction to its appearance. Then a sheet of light flashes inward from the circle formed by the Starspawn. Each of the artifacts begin glowing with an unearthly light. The participants -KNOW- that it should be blinding them, but somehow it does not. Then from each of the artifacts a beam of energy flashes upwards to slam into the hovering form of The Stardragon and the objects are pushed together in the very center of the circles. As the nine piece of Fuzzy's Being meld with each other, they perceptably lose power, most of the power fading away. /*"Don't worry, that is just the borrowed Powers of That Which Creates, from Fuzzy's last battle fading back to the state they belong to."*/ Oracle says. As the light show continues, the participants and spectators become aware that they are being shielded by Aurora from the waves of AGONY that The Stardragon is radiating. They become aware somehow, that it is shunting, through itself, amounts of power and energy, that would rip ANY greater Starspawn that ever lived to shreds in micro-seconds. And the process continues for minute after eternal minute. As the process completes, the Cosmic grade Powers still present begin fading Away, flowing back to the Elemental courts they were borrowed from, and incidentally allowing the Elemental Courts to remember the reset, and both histories. The final flares of energy from the gathered objects are bright enough to dazzle the eyes, in spite of the protection provided by Aurora. Some observers might still be dazzled enough, that they think Fuzzy has Faded away altogether... As their sense readjust, they realize that Fuzzy is back to about the Energy level that they remember, except that it is less fragmented, more of a whole. Those with the perceptions to notice it, will know that while Fuzzy is in The First Realm, He will be able to manipulate any of the local energies effortlessly, as if they were part of him... But that is a purely local phenomenon. This is his home, his Place of Power... When he is not here, he might have slightly less personal power than before the reset, In terms of raw amplitude, but he will have more precision and control within that amplitude... As the lights fade, the eight of the nine artifacts disappear, and as they disappear, Oracle exclaims /*"Oh, no you don't. Come back here."*/ The people in the circle can feel him somehow -reach out-and snag one of the artifacts. Then the only things in the circle are Fuzzy's staff, Fuzzy, and The Eye of Heaven. With the operation competed, the Starspawn resume their -normal- shapes (Hydra stays more or less human sized). Then Aurora vanishes, CLEARLY escaping from something she is in mortal terror of. ================================= Subject: AAE6: Fuzzy Returned (Long) Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 01:07:49 -0800 (PST) On 03-10-2001 at 01:05:22 Fuzzy Said As CAoL Message # 00009481 >On Fri, 09 Mar 2001 22:44:05 -0800 >Dane Said As CAoL Message # 00009480 > >As the process completes, the Cosmic grade Powers still present begin >fading Away, flowing back to the Elemental courts they were borrowed >from, and incidentally allowing the Elemental Courts to remember the >reset, and both histories. Fuzzy in amazement *You managed to grow a Culture from one of the Cells of the Body, They Created for the Keystone? Yes, That is Very Much Unexpected. Let us see What use I may make of it.* An Influence reaches out from the Spirit of Fuzzy, Who is still at the Center of the Circles, To Touch the Culture... *#{}#* To those with the Senses or Sensors to pick this up, Only a Partial decode is possible, Some of the Data Patterns make no sense... The Clone rapidly Morphs on contact, Into Fuzzy's Familiar shape (including Gender). Nemisis Steps Forward with a set of Clothing, As Fuzzy begins to move, Stretching and sitting up... Once again Properly Dressed and Equiped, Except for a Staff, Since Nemisis did not expect a need for a replacement. Two >wolves appear, a dark one on her right and a silver one on her left, >and Scott can _feel_ them ignoring him as they also go to welcome >Fuzzy back. After these, and other, similarly negative responses, Scott smiles. It is a terrible, inhuman smile. He puts away his sword, turns around, and starts to walk towards the X-Window, when a voice yells out, "Aren't you forgetting something?" Scott begins to turn around, only to collapse to the ground. "You want to know why I hate doplehangers? They always slip, and act out of character. You forgot to turn off the cameras, you never talked to Rob about those goggles." And with that, another Scott appears. "And that sword; you should know better then that. I don't use weapons. Not to mention that smile." The new Scott walks around the version that appeared earlier. All attempts to approach or intervene are blocked by a mysterious force, and all attempts to talk to either figure are ignored. The new version stares, and asks a single question: "Who are you?" The Scott on the ground says, "I am Scott Osborne." "Oh really? Then what is your first name?" "Scott." Another question follows quickly. "Who stole the Gauge of Infinity?" A pause. "Rob." A third question follows as quickly as the second. "Name the book I've been reading for the past while." "The Journal of the Vault Dweller." And a fourth. "And who is Fenris?" "Carson White." The interrogator stops at this, and gestures at the questioned. "Show yourself, Dead Man." "I'm not Carson White." "Yes, but you are what he ate." The old 'Scott' stands. "You have seen, child, and I am soon to have my vengeance." It is the first time he has had any emotion in his voice; there is heavy distortion in it. He sheds the facade, and shows his true nature, a dark shadow with no particular form. "Why me? And why Squee?" "You do not see, do you? Let us leave it that way." The figure laughs, and fades away. Scott (assumedly the real one) stands for a second, rubbing his temples. "Well, that's gratitude for ya." The barrier fades. "Would somebody do me a favor, and cut the wires between the cameras? You only have to cut it at one point for the whole set up to shut down." He turns. "I'm sorry about this. I couldn't return to stop him. It was still to dangerous for me to return." Scott laughs. "One nice thing to come out of this; I won't need that personality profile. There wasn't the vaguest hint of Julie in that thing." He looks down. The diamond edged sword remains. "So, the blade was real. Anybody care to have an example of the finest longsword ever mass manufactured? Scott pulls a paperback book out of his back pocket, "The Autobiographies of Elisa Maza and Goliath", and lowers it onto the ground. He stands, and walks away. Continued in "Scott's Toast". ================================= Subject: AAE: Scott's Toast Date: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 21:45:46 -0800 (PST) On Tue, 13 Mar 2001 00:13:14 EST Scott Osborne Said As CAoL Message # 00009544 Scott walks in through the front door of The Place with a small holographic projector. He's still without his trench coat. He drops the projector in a convenient place, drops a few pieces of metal onto the bar, takes the proffered drink, and walks up to the fireplace. "I have a toast to make." The room silences, somewhat. "To friends; may their presence bring joy, and may their parting bring sorrow." He throws the glass into the fireplace, and pauses. "I've been having some problems recently. I lost two good friends before this adventure began, and may have lost more since then. One I lost to sorrow; one I lost to lust for power; the others, to frustration." Scott sits down and sighs. "One had a long, slow decline into his lust for power; you may have known him as Carson White. The other's name would mean nothing to you." Scott closes his eyes. "I didn't want to go on this mission, you know. I knew I'd be off kilter, badly; why do you think I spent so much time in the castle, and away from the CAoL? Why do you think I volunteered for a solitary mission?" Scott pauses. "But Carson White had to go and sit on top of such an important treasure. And it was decided I was to be reactivated, because I knew him, and knew you. And I'm too tired to make excuses." He looks around. "This may have been the second or third worst day of my long life, though. I've offended one person, found out about an enemy I thought couldn't exist, been lured into a trap, been the target of a dirty trick operation, and may have lost all my friends among you because of it. I've also done something marginally stupid afterwards." Scott opens his eyes. "I'm too tired for this. Anybody want to see Fuzzy's resurrection? I got enough footage to put together a real nice hologram." ================================= Subject: Re:AAE: Scott's Toast Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 12:44:38 -0800 (PST) On Tue, 13 Mar 2001 15:00:17 -0500 Mike Knight Said As CAoL Message # 00009548 >On Tue, 13 Mar 2001 00:13:14 EST >Scott Osborne Said As CAoL Message # 00009544 > >"I have a toast to make." Anyway, I'd like to see your hologram." Mike still scowls a bit, "Well, look, I'm not saying all's forgotten, but yeah, what Tink said. But we can talk about dopplegangers and lensmen later." Scott walks over to the projector. "As for telling you; at the time, telling you might have been dangerous. Dangerous to both you and me." Scott moves the projector to the center of the room, and says, in a loud voice. "Folks, you are about to see something wondrous. Something amazing. Namely, me pushing a button, and then the rebirth of Fuzzy." He pushes the largest button on the projector, and the show begins. ================================= Subject: Re:AAE: Scott's Toast Date: Thu, 15 Mar 2001 23:00:47 -0800 (PST) On 03-15-2001 at 22:57:51 Fuzzy Said As CAoL Message # 00009568 >On Tue, 13 Mar 2001 15:00:17 -0500 >Mike Knight Said As CAoL Message # 00009548 > >>On Tue, 13 Mar 2001 00:13:14 EST >>Scott Osborne Said As CAoL Message # 00009544 >> >>Scott walks in through the front door of The Place with a small >>holographic projector.
