BIOGRAPHY: Claire Danes, code-named "Disaster Girl," never expected her life to become any more complicated than working as a waitress at a diner, in the "bad" part of town. The area was known for its usual run of petty thieves and criminals, such as dope dealers and so forth. However, you have to make ends meet, no matter where you happened to be. That was Claire's motto, anyway.
Unfortunately, even though things were fairly decent in her neighborhood, it got ugly pretty quickly. A local dealer got in a little over his head and angered those in the business who had a little more power than he. It just so happened these guys were taking a quick snack at Claire's diner.
It all happened very quickly. One moment, all is well and mundane as any other day. The next, it was as though a thundercloud burst inside the diner. Reports and eyewitness accounts later recounted that it had been a drive-by done with anti-tank weaponry. There also was only one, sole survivor of the attack: Claire Danes.
The drive-by and explosion seemed to have triggered her eruption, revealing her unimaginable powers of survivability. It seemed that the strong nuclear force (molecular bonding of her body) and her metabolism increased far beyond mortal limits. Project Utopia dove at the chance to get her into the organization. After testing and training, it amazed her peers at the amount of hostile and lethal stimuli she could resist. It almost seemed to have no limit. Immediately, Project Utopia saw the assets.
Even after her eruption and subsequent recruitment, Claire remains much like she did before hand -- at least in her demeanor. She is reserved and cautious, but determined to do the right thing at all costs. Her ability at organization and her nigh-indestructibility make her extremely valuable to any team.
