— Elite Totentanz found, arrested and unmasked in Kashmir
The "Blight," Kashmir: The world was stunned today as the legendary elite known until yesterday only as Totentanz was found and captured in the area known as "The Blight" after a hunt that lasted for several hours. He was unmasked by the team that captured him, and while his identity has not yet been confirmed, the face seen was that of controversial talk-radio personality Jordan McDevitt, whose highly-rated show is known for its dim view of Project Utopia in general and Team Tomorrow specifically.
Accounts still vary, but what has been confirmed is that Quasar and the Ragnarockette were flying patrol with the current Auxiliary 'class' when they spotted Totentanz with their respective powers. After brief consultation with Addis Ababa, they remained at a discreet distance until reinforcements arrived. Once the carefully chosen team was assembled, the group surrounded Totentanz and demanded his surrender. Totentanz refused and managed to penetrate the circle. He managed to evade pursuit for so long by using the quantum-drenched, cratered area for hit-and-run tactics.
"I freely admit that we were all emotional about this one," Quasar said later. "Totentanz killed one of our own and has murdered innumerable innocents. He had us going for a while, throwing us off and fraying our nerves in the process. But in the end, he couldn't get away." After a moment, he added, "You know something, though, for all that, I think that face threw us more than anything else. He talked up a storm until Guggie finally nailed the creep, but once that death mask came off, he didn't say a word."
There has been no comment from either Totentanz, through any representative, or by the producers of the Jordan McDevitt Show. Utopia lawyers expect proceedings to begin by the end of the month.
