Pink “Bluebell Lace” scarf

bluebell-scarfPattern: Bluebell Lace Scarf by Sharon Mooney
Craft: Knitting
Size: aprox. 55″
Needle: US 2 – 2.75 mm
Yarn: J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen (Size 10)
Colorway: Candy Pink

Notes:

Another scarf to try out the pattern (purchased at the Yarn Deli*), to use up the very-pink thread.

Note partway though: This is one of the rare patterns that I still need to look at the instructions every row after doing several repeats. It’s pretty, but kind of a PITA so I probably won’t use it again.

20 Feb 2010: Maybe it’s just the choice of fiber, but the garter edges folded back and the lace curled, making the finished work look like a tube. Given the difficulty of the pattern, having it hidden by the curling made it more trouble than it was worth. Frogged, and maybe I’ll try the pattern again with another yarn someday.

* The Yarn Deli became the Redlands Yarn Company, which has since closed.
