Edgings
These are a few of the crochet edgings I use on my donated caps, collected here for simplicity.
Striped bathroom rugs
Because the wine shag bathroom set I’ve had since the 80s SO needed to be replaced :-). Photos forthcoming…
Hook: 5.0 mm (H)
Yarn: Lion Brand Recycled Cotton, Marine and Seashells
These are an improvised design. I used the Best Crocheted Potholder technique to get a thick rug without needing to double the yarn and use a big hook. The stripe pattern is one I came up with after searching the web for various ways of doing stripes other than just alternating colors: 8 rows blue, 4 white, 2 blue, 4 white, 2 blue, 4 white.
TARDIS Tree Ornament
It’s our tradition to get a Yule ornament each year that represents something representative of that year. In 2012, we watched a lot of Doctor Who, catching up on Doctors 9, 10 and 11.
I used the basic Christmas tree TARDIS ornament, but added a light based on the larger TARDIS pattern — 2 rows on 5 sc. The windows are embroidered, as is the year. The lower contrast on the year is deliberate.
Hook: 3.75 mm (F)
Yarn: Not sure, since it was something I’d frogged from an earlier project.
Crocheted dice
A gaming friend saw this pattern and asked if anyone would be willing to make them for her. Always up for trying something different… 🙂
