A tattooed, hard-drinking, gunslinging, “take no crap from anybody” badass, Hellcat’s a bit too “kewl” for some tastes, but an intriguing character nonetheless. Anne’s not exactly Batman-level, but she’s still capable of trashing a dozen thugs without breaking a sweat.

History:

Hellcat’s real age is unknown. Abandoned as a baby in a restaurant in the “Shanty Town” section of Jacksonville, Anne was raised by the owners. When she was thirteen, she ran away from home. Not because things were rough; she was just restless and wanted to see the world.

In her early teens, Anne worked as a driver for the mob in the Cleveland. By making various connections (as well as her expertise with handguns), she gained a bit of a reputation as an ally with the various families.

Eventually, she began working with a low-level thieves’ guild down in St. Roch known as “Emerald Twilight”. The members were identified by a green tribal-style tattoo somewhere on their body. The leader, known only as “Vinton”, took Anne in and trained her in their methods. She became a natural at fighting and breaking and entering.

During one break-in, Anne and several other members were unintentionally exposed to a gene-altering substance. Although it appeared that there were no visible side-effects, three of the thieves began developing superhuman abilities.

After a while, Anne (who now went by the nickname her stepfather had given her: Hellcat) began to become a bit uneasy with the guild’s methods. So, she faked her death and went on the run. She worked with other guilds throughout the nation, eventually going out on her own as a “freelancer.”

During one failed break-in up in Liberty City, she was at first attacked, then later saved, by the hero Feedback. They began a bit of a team-up/relationship, and eventually helped found the freelance law-enforcement group known as the Misfits in Action. Despite being a thief, Hellcat’s become more of a hero (though she still occasionally is involved with some low-level scams).
