History: Prysm was one of several H’San Natall breeding experiments, but while the others grew up on Earth, Prysm grew up in a virtual environment created by the H’San Natall based on various fifties family sitcoms. She was rudely awakened from her idyllic world when the other breeding experiments were trying to escape from the H’San Natall with the help of the Atom. Angry with the “destruction” of her life, as she knew it, she killed one of the alien abductors, and escaped with the others to Earth where they formed the new Teen Titans.

Prysm found it hard on Earth, looking like a being made of glass, and filled with light. She eventually decided to leave Earth for good, along with Fringe, another of the alien hybrids, whose unusual appearance made life on Earth difficult.
