CA Elects Governor Groper, Life Goes On

Well, the Gropenator is now Governor of California. Ugh.

Still, this doesn’t mean that Bush can take California. It does mean that, barring a successful Total Recall of the Running Man that Terminates his Predatory candidacy, Californian progressives will have to spend more time ensuring that California remains true blue and less time working to help other states burn the Bush.

And the previous sentence uses up my entire allotment of punning Schwarzenegger references, so you can read on in safety. ;^)…

I like this guy more and more with each passing day:

The Tiger Roars…

Davis swore to fight like a “Bengal tiger” to survive the recall vote. I snickered at another writer’s commentary on the habits of the real Bengal tiger. The image of the mighty jungle predator is what Davis was invoking, however, and after his performance in the two-part debate, he’s starting to look more muscular (politically speaking, of course) than his most famous opponent.

Yeah, I’m partisan, but after watching the debate on tape, I have to say, McClintock proved himself to be both phenomenal at distorting issues and phenomenally out of touch with Californians, and Ueberroth (while more moderate) was very definitely a one-note candidate.…
