Chair back cover

chair-back I actually made this one last year, because I got tired of my back sweating against the nylon back of the wheelchair and wanted something nicer looking than a towel. The piece also provides a bit of cover for my black purse when it’s hanging on the back of the chair in the sun :-).

I mostly made the pattern up as I went along, using crochet thread (IIRC size 10 or thereabouts) from the stash my Mom gave me. Part of it is “natural,” the other was a yellow/gold I bought when I thought I’d be doing more inkle weaving. Finished size: 28″ long by approx. 11″ wide (for some reason, it’s wider at the ends), don’t remember the hook but it’s about 6 dc = 1″.

The diamond pattern is loosely based on (perhaps better phrased “inspired by”) Ganondorf’s cape, as seen in Ocarina of Time and Super Smash Brothers :-).
