See my original Project Linus post for details. My third completion was an attempt to find a way to have the convenience of working on blocks without the hassle of having to sew them together.
This one would have been done sooner, but a) I took a while to decide if I was going to buy more purple yarn to make it a bit bigger than it was when I ran out of that color (I did), and b) I’ve been working on another non-Linus project in the interim. More on that one when it’s done.
Pattern: “Flat Braid” Square Joining Method (or as a PDF), which makes an interesting intertwining pattern when the squares are contrasting colors. I used her “Simple Square” pattern, and made the squares about 6″ (bigger = fewer = less joining *g*).
Finished size: 40″ x 66″
Yarn: Caron’s “One Pound”, this time combining “sky blue 508” and “iris 550” (which isn’t on the linked page). The iris/purple has a nice contrast to the light blue IMHO.
Hook: size G
